"SULZER SUNDAY" 2nd September 2018
47401 will haul all services on this day, Butterley departures at 11:00, 12:20, 14:00 and 15:20.

In addition, two further running days were recently completed on 26th/27th August, working the Mark 1 stock during Vintage Train weekend, our apologies for the lack of advance info on this website.

INDIETRACKS RUNNING DAYS - 28th/29th JULY 2018
Following an emergency fan motor swap after the previous two running days, 47401 will next be out this coming weekend, booked to work five round trips per day starting at Butterley at 10:30 both days. Please note that it is the Indietracks event, so trains will be full of music fans! We understand that trains will be open to punters with normal tickets for travel only (as well as those with special tickets for the actual event itself).

RUNNING DAYS - 14th/15th JULY 2018
The 2018 operating season got off to a very late start for 47401, with just a supporting role in June's Type 5 centred diesel gala under its belt so far. However we are pleased to announce a full weekend's running coming up, Saturday 14th features four round trips (MRB's Timetable "A" starting 11:00 ex-Butterley) and on Sunday 15th there will be two train running (Timetable "B") shared with the Class 108 DMU in addition to a road transport gala. Extra diesel running has been implemented due to the hot weather and the associated lineside fire risk involved with steam locomotive operation.

UPDATE JANUARY 2018
First update of the year, and the team has been cracking on with 401's roof repairs before the running season gets underway. A few more photos taken at the end of December 2017 and in January 2018 have been added to the 2017 and 2018 Gallery Pages.
