 Preservation News (2017) UPDATE 23rd NOVEMBER 2017 Following its last duties of the year, working the Firework Night shuttles on 4th November, 47401 has been taken inside the diesel shed, swapping places with D1516, for some long overdue repairs to crumbling wreckage of its roof sections over the winter. Some photos showing the scope of the work involved are in the 47401 Gallery Page. We must apologise that updates to this site have been few and far between this year, but we intend to remedy this situation in 2018! FURTHER INFO Not now running Sunday 10th due to a fault, Class 45 out instead. LATE INFO JUST RECEIVED 401 is running both days this weekend (9th/10th September), top and tail with Duchess 46233. RAILEX 12th/13th AUGUST 2017 After a relatively quiet summer, 47401 should be running both days this coming weekend, alongside D6501 and 45041 plus GWR 5619. The event is the annual Railex model railway show. Two train running alongside GWR 5619. As always loco is subject to availability and any issues arising from winter hibernation!
